The president of Mexico admits to helping the Sisters of the drug Emperor “El Chapo” to get into America
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said that he had already asked officials in early 2020 to help the Sisters of the famous Mexican drug dealer Joaquin Guzman, known as “El Chapo”, to arrange a meeting at the US embassy in order to apply for visas to enter the United States.
President Obrador, also known as “AMLO” -according to his initials – was quoted by Bloomberg News Agency as saying at a press conference on Thursday that he did not know if they had finally obtained the visas.
It is noteworthy that the Mexican president had met the mother of “El Chapo” last March 30 and pledged to help her see her son.
Mexico extradited El Chapo to the United States in 2016, and he is now languishing in a maximum-security prison in the western US state of Colorado.
In 2019, the United States sentenced “El Chapo” -who is considered the most powerful drug trafficker in the world – to life in prison, after transporting at least 1,200 tons of cocaine to the country over a quarter of a century, but his gang still continues to transport the bulk of drugs entering the United States.
