Putin: whoever seeks to sever our relations with Europe is behind the sabotage of “Nord Stream”

The Russian President talks about the attacks on the two pipelines “Nord Stream”, and notes that the European Union aggravates the situation by setting a ceiling for the prices of Russian oil.

Russian President Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that “the attacks on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines were organized by parties seeking to sever relations between Russia and the European Union, who had previously resorted to such sabotage actions, but were not punished”.

“Who is behind those sabotage actions against the “Northern current”?”, Putin said at the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week Obviously, he is the one who aspires to permanently sever relations between Russia and the EU, and ultimately hopes to undermine and end the political subjectivity of Europe, weaken its industrial potential, and put his hand on the market,”he said.

Putin noted that these terrorist acts were carried out by “those who have been caught before, carrying out such activities.

And, of course, those who have the technical capabilities to carry out such bombings have done it before, but they have not been punished,”he said.

Earlier this month, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said that Moscow was “studying all options to find out the reasons for the terrorist attacks on the two northern streamlines”.

Russia has repeatedly stated that the destruction of Nord Stream benefits America, and that any investigation without it will raise doubts, after the company “Nord Stream AG”

the operator of the gas pipeline “Northern Stream 2”, announced a leak in the pipeline in Danish waters near the island of Bornholm.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the EU countries are working to aggravate the situation by setting a price ceiling for Russian oil.

“The consequences of the partial refusal of goods from Russia negatively affect the economy and harm the European peoples, however

instead of working to restore their own competitive advantages in the form of cheap and reliable Russian energy sources, the eurozone countries are only working to aggravate the situation,”Putin said.
