Gaza marks the 105th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration with a demonstration in front of the United Nation

Representatives of the Palestinian factions handed over a memorandum to the United Nations in Gaza demanding that the secretary-general work to stop Israel’s crimes against them, stressing their rejection of all the repercussions resulting from the Balfour Declaration.

This came during a demonstration in front of the UN headquarters in Gaza, during which participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans condemning the Balfour Declaration.

The leader of the struggle front, Mahmoud al-Zaq, said that the delegation from the factions handed a memorandum to the UN delegate confirming the position of the national and Islamic forces that the Palestinian people reject the Balfour Declaration.

He considered that the promise is a fundamental pillar of the Nakba of the Palestinian people, who gave land to the Jews as an alternative to the people who live in this land.

He said that the memorandum stressed that the Palestinian people demand the United Nations to implement its resolutions regarding the right of the Palestinian people to establish their own Palestinian state and the right of self-determination like other peoples.

“We are the Palestinian people, the last people suffering from occupation in the world, it is time for the world to realize that our Palestinian people deserve freedom and independence,”he added.

In a related context, the leader commented on the results of the Israeli elections, stressing that a sharp drift towards the extreme right in Israel is the real result of the Israeli elections .

He added:”We are facing a fascist Israeli government and Israeli parties whose only program is more confiscation of Palestinian land, and their only program is not to talk politically with the Palestinian national leadership and insist on continuing settlements , and rejecting the idea of a Palestinian state.
